Gina Mentzer, MD FHFSA

Cardiologist
Dr. Gina Mentzer provides patients with comprehensive cardiovascular care for those with heart disease including arrhythmias, valvular disease, coronary artery disease as well as heart failure. She has experience with advanced cardiometabolic testing and risk stratification to counsel on heart disease prevention strategies including those undergoing chemotherapy or have inflammatory co-morbidities as well as the Women’s Heart Program. She utilizes diagnostic technologies such as echocardiography, nuclear and vascular imaging as well as CT calcium scores to complement clinical evaluation. Dr. Mentzer performs cardiac catheterizations and advanced hemodynamic testing to evaluate and treat cardiac diseases such as constrictive pericarditis, pulmonary hypertension and heart failure. She sub-specializes in Advanced Heart Failure, cardiac transplant and mechanical circulatory support (LVAD) to provide care, emerging therapies and technology to rural areas of Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri and Kansas.

Dr. Mentzer is a native Nebraskan from a small town~Litchfield, NE. In her spare time, she enjoys time with her young family of four children, running and farm activities including horseback riding & cattle.
