Interventional Cardiologist

Dr. Vish Bhoopalam is a specialist in cardiovascular disease. Having served his community and practiced cardiology for over 20 years, Dr. Bhoopalam has developed a wide array of experience and expertise. He has served on a plethora hospital committees, a leader of various cardiology initiatives, and as director of a cardiac catheterization laboratory. He presently serves as the chair of the Department of Internal Medicine at CHI Health St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

Dr. Bhoopalam actively participates in clinical research for development of innovative techniques and therapies for the treatment of cardiovascular disease. In the past, he has been a pioneer in bringing many technologies to the state including MitraClip, Watchman, Percutaneous PFO Closures, etc. He hopes to continue to research, innovate, and help provide the best in cardiology to his community.

He seeks to develop innovation for the delivery of cardiac care to his community and treat his patients with respect, compassion, and empathy. He has three kids and enjoys spending time with his family and traveling around the world.
